STERLING SILVER WINE BOTTLE HOLDER - VICTORIAN - SIGNED!

Description

Here is a Victorian Sterling Silver Wine Bottle Holder.  These Wine Bottle Holders were designed as a decorative way to protect fine table linens from wine stains.  This Wine Bottle Holder has an elaborate repousse design all around the Sterling holder.  It is fully signed on the bottom, James Mix, STERLING, etc., as can be seen in the photo's.  The Lion and Anchor hallmarks indicate this is British Sterling.  It is over 3 and 1/2" diameter and 1 and 1/2" high.
This item weighs 141.7 grams on my jewelry scale.
It is in excellent condition given its age and intended use.  I only find one small chip at the top rim of the glass insert.
