Rare! korean, VietNam Navy fighter Pilots uniform 80% complete with mannequin.. Condition is "Used". Up for sale is a super rare hard to find vintage 1950s 1960s Korean, Vietnam Navy fighter pilots uniform with accessories and mannequin. Looks to be about 80% complete? I purchased this pilots uniform from a friend of mine named Douglas Orahood. He is a retired 83 year old Naval officer who qualified for carrier operations aboard the USS Antietam air craft carrier. He has flown many fighters from Korean era and Vietnam eras. His nickname was Pappy because he had children at the time. He was awarded and celebrated for making an historic 22.001 arrested landing witch at the time was a world record for any aircraft carrier captain! I’ve included a photograph showing the captain of the carrier and Douglas Orahood celebrating this achievement cutting a cake with all the officers on board. Douglas is the guy I circled in red. I’m definitely no expert on all this stuff so I’m just going to do my best to describe everything at the best of my knowledge. Vietnam navy fighter pilot mannequin and uniform consists of vintage mannequin helmet painted gold with Pappy painted on it and logo and family logo and his name on the back of helmet. Comes with oxygen mask microphones double visor inside clean visor and dark visor that slide down when needed. 1950s Korean Mae West vest with everything it came with to survive being shot down. Vest is little stiff and brittle but functional. Original orange flight suit with parachute pack on the back don’t know for sure if the parachute is in the pack? Pilot glasses shoulder holster for his revolver. Revolver is not included. There is leg clip board with flight instructions and emergency cards also lights up. There is more emergency flight cards included also. With the name of the fighters that he flew. Comes with original issue knife and scabbard. Original Garcia fighters pilot leather gloves. Also will come with his original Navy fighter pilot leather jacket with USN dotted inside the liner with original patch. Everything is in excellent to good condition. I’m selling this vintage 1960s Vietnam fighter pilot uniform in as is condition so please view pictures carefully because it’s part of my description! I’m trying my best here but with only 12 pictures it’s hard to show everything and I’m not writing down everything that’s marked on everything. Receipts for things he purchased back in the 1990s and other things. He was going to donate his pilot’s collection to museum in Florida but they wanted him to pay 3000.00 dollars for shipping. He didn’t want to do that so he sold me his whole collection last week. I have his original letter he wrote to the museum describing everything he wanted to donate. Like I said I’m not an expert on all this stuff so I’m just selling everything as is please view pictures carefully because it’s part of my description. I also purchased other things from him like two vintage 1950s Korean fighter pilot helmets one is from golden Dragons squadron and the other ones from the Stingers fighter squadron. Plus signed autographed chuck Yeager X1 rocker plane that he broke the sound barrier in. Four mannequin heads with WW2 leather scull cap helmets. And few other things.
