Pair Antique c1895 Tiffany & Company Sterling Silver Compotes/Tazzas/Dishes
Presented is a fine quality pair of sterling silver compotes, tazzas or raised dishes made by Tiffany & Company during the late 19th century. This is a very decorative pair. Each dish is done in an openwork form and is decorated with flowers, scrolls and shells. The center has a fancy, sinuous monogram of the initials LT. The compotes are solid sterling silver and are a good weight for their size.
The underside of each piece is marked with the Tiffany & Company sterling silver mark used between 1892 and 1902.
This pair is in great overall condition and the designs are very crisp. There is minor surface wear commensurate with age and use but there are no dents, no breaks, no monogram removals and no repairs.
Each compote measures 9 1/4 inches in diameter and is 4 3/4 inches tall.
The combined weight of the pair is 1,159 grams or 40.9 ounces.
