    Description

    We are listing a gorgeous porcelain or ceramic Japanese lusterware wall pocket. It is gold with a purple band along the top and features a stork, heron, egret or crane.
    The wall pocket is in excellent condition. There are no chips, cracks, stains or crazing, and the colors are bright and vivid. It appears to have been gently used and is 7" tall. The mark on the back includes "Handpainted Japan" and a flower with an "H" inside. We did a little research on the mark, and it appears to belong to the Hotta Yu Company and date the wall pocket to the 1920s or 1930s.
