GORHAM STERLING SILVER MASTER NUT DISH & 12 NUT CUPS CROMWELL 430 GRAMS EX-COND

Description

This vintage item consists ONE MASTER NUT DISH and TWELVE individual sterling silver NUT CUPS or DISHES (could be used as salt cellars) by GORHAM. All pieces are in excellent estate condition with a nice patina; the bottom of the master dish shows only slight wear. This is an assembled set; the master serving dish or bowl is not monogrammed. Six of the individual cups are monogrammed with "WS" and the second six "P_R" (unsure of the middle letter). Of course when filled with nuts the 13 pieces appear to have been from one original set. The Gorham marks and "sterling" are shown on the photos; please excuse the ceiling and other reflections. The total weight of all pieces is a heavy 430 grams or 15.2 ounces (other like sets weigh less). The master nut dish (1995) measures 8 1/4" long, 5 1/4" wide at its widest point, and stands 2 1/4" tall. Each of the 12 individual dishes (A 4780) are 4" X 2 1/2" X 1 1/4". This set, known as part of the CROMWELL pattern, is simple and handsome in design and would compliment any sterling flatware service. Shipping is via priority mail and includes full insurance.
