Fine 1890 Gorham Sterling Silver Reticulated Candy Nut Dish Bowl w Ball Feet
Presented is a fine antique Gorham sterling silver round candy or nut dish,
dated 1890. The dish is round, and stands on four ball form feet. The sides of
the dish are nicely pierced in an openwork designs of little arches and waves,
while the rim has a stylish gadroon edge. Great for an elegant serving purpose
or for a ring catcher, small vanity tray, or whatever else you might like.
The underside is stamped with the Gorham maker's mark, sterling, the date
mark of a rooster for 1890, and the number 780.
This piece is in excellent condition. There are no splits, no dents, no
breaks, no monograms, no monogram removals, and no repairs.
The dish measures about 5 5/8 inches in diameter and stands about 1 3/8
inches at the rim.
This piece weighs 181 grams or 6.4 ounces.
