A:This is 6000K white color,covers most spectrum you need for indoor growing.

Do you remove the plastic covering on the bulbs before installing?
A:No need,just rewire your fixture then install the led bulb directly.

It says Simple Installation. Do they come with clear instructions on how to remove ballasts and re-connect?
A:Yes there is installation guide.

Can you specify the lumens and hrs of operation of this bulbs? I'm interested in replacing f96t12/dx would this work after connecting without ballast?
A:it is 40watt and 4000lm,around 50,000hours,need bypass ballast.
