In excellent condition. NO CRACKS, NO SCRATCHES & NO CHIPS to the glass & no major damage to the sterling rim. The sterling has minor to moderate tarnish, the more well-used ones have more tarnish. NO VERDIGRIS! Please note that the "STERLING" marks are so faint that they must be tilted in a light to see them. I have adhered "Post-it®" notes to each coaster for the new owner's sterling verification. Any flaws, if present, will be either written about here in the condition section of the listing OR visible in the photos. Therefore, you MUST examine ALL of the photos carefully, using the "SUPERSIZE" feature for each, as the photos often can illustrate the item’s condition better than any words can. This auction is for set of FOUR (4) antique sterling-silver-rimmed BOHEMIAN crystal beverage coasters.
I BELIEVE THE WEIGHT ALONE SHOWS THE GLASS USED IN THE COASTERS IS SOME TYPE OF CRYSTAL.
(Each coaster weighs about SIX (6) ounces!)
THE FACT THAT I  BOUGHT THESE COASTERS IN THE CZECH REPUBLIC,
A COUNTRY WELL-KNOWN AS A PRODUCER OF HIGH-QUALITY CRYSTAL TABLEWARE,
INDICATES THE COASTERS ARE OF CZECH ORIGIN.
ALL FOUR (4) OF THESE COASTERS
HAVE THE EXACT SAME PATTERN TO THE
GLASS EMBOSSING & THE STERLING EMBOSSING.
MANY DIFFERENT COMPANIES PRODUCED THESE TYPE OF COASTERS & EACH HAD ITS OWN PATTERN DESIGNS.

Origin/History:
Found in Prague in the Czech Republic.
Function/Use:
Used in fancy local restaurants in Prague.
Structure/Composition:
A thick piece of crystal with the starburst design embossed from underneath. Top surface of the glass has four (4) raised lines to accommodate water condensation. The sterling silver rim has been molded around the inner edge lip of the glass, covers the entire upper surface of the rim & then has been molded underneath the outter edge lip.
