This is a very fine quality c1920 Canadian Sterling Silver and Cut Glass Butter / Caviar Serving Dish or Wine Bottle Coaster.  The Dish features fabulous pierced designs with a nice footed form and lovely Cut Star to the Glass insert. Very Art Deco period style with nice rolled over reinforced rim which makes it very sturdy for modern use.  Fully marked Sterling and the fine Canadian retailer P.W. Ellis & Co who retailed Birks Sterling and later became part of the Birks corporation.  A very attractive Dish to use with Butter or a smaller Wine Bottle as seen.
Condition
: superb condition as seen with minuscule nicks to the glass rim consistent with age. No chips, cracks, dents, bends or repairs.
Size & Weight
: measures approx 6-1/2 inches across overall by 1-1/4 inches tall overall. The Glass Dish alone measures 4 inches across.  The Sterling Silver frame alone weighs 120 grams.
