    Description

    Here's an early squat ovoid stoneware jug that was dug from an 1860s outhouse privy pit in central Illinois.....no embossing of any kind.....hand thrown on a potter's wheel....applied handle....round tapered ovoid shape....only 6 3/4"tall x 5"across base....Excellent condition with no chips or damage. It has 3 or 4 small open bubble glaze spots from when it was made; 2 of those are on the very bottom surface from where it stuck on something while in the kiln.. ..
